Challenge details
Start at the road barrier behind the car park at St. Margaret's Loch.
If
it is open you can have a flying start but you will have to put up with cars,
pink stretch limos and so on overtaking you. If the barrier is shut (eg on
a Sunday) start right behind it.
Follow the road uphill. It gets progressively
steeper
before
flattening
out
near the
top.

The finish is at the end of the loch about fifty metres past the start of
the first orange parking bay.
A
white spray has been used to mark the finish line on
the
right side of the road.
Make sure you do those last
agonising fifty metres!
If you know the combined weight
of you and your bike you can calculate your power output in watts. This will
give a better indication of the effort you put in.
